PUMPKIN CARVING

WE CARVED PUMPKINS FOR FHE LAST NIGHT. FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD A FUN FAMILY HOME EVENING IN A LONG TIME. IT IS NOT FUN WITH MIKE AND I. (HENCE WE NEVER HAVE IT) SO WHEN THE GRANDKIDS ARE HERE IT IS A BLAST. BROUGHT BACK LOTS OF GOOD MEMORIES AND MANY YEARS OF CARVING PUMPKINS. JESS AND CHAD JOINED US ALSO. CHAD COOKED US AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD.(NEW YORK STYLE) AND THEN WE DUG INTO THE PUMPKINS.

TYDON AND CHAD CUTTING A LID OFF TYDON'S PUMPKIN

GRANDPA HELPING TAYLEE WITH HER LID.

PICKING ALL THE INSIDES OUT IS THE GOOOOOOEY JOB!
SOME OF THE FINISHED PUMPKINS. TY THOUGHT HE WOULD TRY OUT HIS PUMPKIN LID.

THIS LITTLE GUY WAS A CONCENTRATED EFFORT. CHAD SAID, IT WAS THEIR FIRST BORN. HE GOT HIT IN THE STOMACH FOR THAT COMMENT. IT WAS A FUN NIGHT AND THE JACK-O-LANTERNS ARE ON THE STEP GLOWING IN THE DARK.

Looks like you all had fun. I like Chad's comment about the pumpkin being his first born, I think they could do better though. We didn't do any pumpkin carving this year, maybe next year when Lydia will actually care to.
