A DAY OF GARDENING

OH MY GOSH!!! LOOK AT MY DAUGHTER IN LAW TO BE. SHE IS MY NEW SNAKE HANDLER. I was pulling some weeds in my garden and this snake happened to join me. I squilled like a pig, and called for Chad to come get this snake. He of course was going to chop it's little head off and so Jessica came to the rescue of the little slimey fella. She did not want it to see its death so she picked him up and took him back to the river. MY stomach is squirming as I am writing this. I had to run get my camera for a picture so she just held on to him FOREVER. What a Brave girl she is. Are there any MERRILL girls out there that would wrangle a snake for their Mother???? I don' think so.

Chad decided he would make a swing for the Big Old Tree in the back. He is pretty creative. He took my old bench and made this swing. He was pretty excited about it so we let him swing on it first. Lots of laughs with this kid. He and Jess don't pull many weeds but they sure make Gardening alot more FUN.
Can you see the huge Monarch Butterfly in this picture?? This butterfly has been hanging around lately so I finally got a picture. I chased him around for awhile and laughed at it. You probably think I have lost it, but it brought a smile to my face. My brothers birthday was Friday, and when he passed away, instead of buying flowers for him, I bought Monarch butterflies that we released. This butterfly made me think of my brother and how close his Spirit really is to us. In my mind I could hear him laughing because I couldn't catch him. Happy Birthday to my Late and Beloved Brother, "Ken"

A Beautiful Day for the Gospel!

I am so happy that these two Awesome Elders had the opportunity to teach this man the gospel. They have felt the true joy of giving this man the gospel. I am so proud of Justin because he has never given up trying to find someone to teach. He is in the Ukrain ( if you don't know) and it is a mission that does not have Ample teaching experiences, so this is a very special experience for these missionaries and their families. We Love Elder Merrill!

HEAVENLY FATHER BLESSES THOSE WHO SERVE

JUSTIN HAS HAD AN INCREDIBLE WEEK. HE IS SO EXCITED! HE AND ELDER VANETTA HAD A BAPTISM THIS LAST WEEK. BROTHER STANISLAV WAS BAPTIZED. THIS IS WHAT JUS SAID. " I HAD AN AMAZING WEEK AND I THINK THAT IS PROBABLY AN UNDERSTATMENT. HAD A FEW REALLY GOOD MEETINGS WITH INVESTIGATORS, NONE THE LESS OUR BAPTISM WE HAD! IT WAS AMAZING. COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A MORE BEAUTIFUL DAY OUT THERE.

SEVEN GRANDBABIES, OH MY!!!

This little guy is so cute!!! Kyler Merrill Holverson, born June, 16th, weighing 8lbs. 1 oz. Emily did so well with her delivery. Two pushes and he was born. Awesome huh!!! I have been in Utah since the 6th of June. I came for a Photo 101 class with my girls, and then I just hung out until the birth of Kyler. We did a little of everything to get her to deliver early. He did come a week early so that was nice. Ashley and Sarah were both here also. We have been busy cooking and cleaning (a little) and still playing a bit too much. We are all exhausted. Sarah was suppose to go home on Sunday, but we extended her ticket so she could stay until Kyler arrived. Sarah and I are both leaving on Wed. Heath's mom will be coming in Wed. night so all will be well. I leave for girls camp Thursday morning at 8:00. We are going to our cabin so at least I do not have to sleep in a Tent. I love my bed at the cabin and can't wait to take a nap there on Thursday while the girls are hiking. Me- Hike -No way!! The last 8 mile hike I went on turned into a 13 mile hike and I thought I was going to die. I will be very cheerful waiting for the girls to return to me, in my cabin. I will set an alarm so they will never know I have been napping all day. Ha Ha.
