OH MY GOSH!!! LOOK AT MY DAUGHTER IN LAW TO BE. SHE IS MY NEW SNAKE HANDLER. I was pulling some weeds in my garden and this snake happened to join me. I
squilled like a pig, and called for Chad to come get this snake. He of course was going to chop it's little head off and so Jessica came to the rescue of the little
slimey fella. She did not want it to see its death so she picked him up and took him back to the river. MY stomach is squirming as I am writing this. I had to run get my camera for a picture so she just held on to him FOREVER. What a Brave girl she is. Are there any MERRILL girls out there that would wrangle a snake for their Mother???? I don' think so.
Chad decided he would make a swing for the Big Old Tree in the back. He is pretty creative. He took my old bench and made this swing. He was pretty excited about it so we let him swing on it first. Lots of laughs with this kid. He and Jess don't pull many weeds but they sure make Gardening
alot more FUN.
Can you see the huge Monarch Butterfly in this picture?? This butterfly has been hanging around lately so I finally got a picture. I chased him around for awhile and laughed at it. You probably think I have lost it, but it brought a smile to my face. My brothers birthday was Friday, and when he passed away, instead of buying flowers for him, I bought Monarch butterflies that we released. This butterfly made me think of my brother and how close his Spirit really is to us. In my mind I could hear him laughing because I couldn't catch him. Happy Birthday to my Late and Beloved Brother, "Ken"

That is so funny! I don't think the "Kiesling girls" like snakes at all. I remember my mom gardening once and this snake came out of no where and she totally screamed and started squirting it with the hose and it made it even more mad. Ha! Too funny! I think about Kenny so much. It's hard this time of year because of the annual canoe trips him and my dad went on. We all miss him.
Way to go Jess!! You are the WOMAN! Mom, I am glad you are having a great time gardening! I can't believe that butterfly stayed still long enough for a picture. Way to go! We miss you guys!
Sorry, Mom, you are right!! I would not pick up that snake! YOU GO JESS! My kids are going to love that swing! Hope your ready to push them over and over again, Chad! The yard is looking BEAUTIFUL! Happy Birthday to Kenny!
Tell Chad congrats for me on the engagement!! I haven't seen the announcement yet but my mom and sister really seemed to like it. Justin looks like he is also doing great. Good luck on the wedding plans.
